Amy C. Haywood
Amy concentrates on commercial and franchise litigation matters. She has extensive litigation experience in both state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Cheng Cohen LLC, Amy was a litigation associate in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Prior to entering private practice, Amy clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit Court for the Honorable Jeffrey S. Sutton in Columbus, Ohio. She also served as Counsel and Investigator on the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary in Washington D.C. for several years.
Amy received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center where she was an editor on the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics and a Senior Legal Writing Fellow. Amy graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in broadcast journalism.
Amy is licensed to practice in Illinois, Virginia and the District of Columbia. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Illinois Bar Association.
