Danielle M. Kays

Danielle concentrates her practice in commercial and franchise litigation matters. Danielle represents clients in breach of contract, fraud, unfair competition, tortious interference, trademark infringement, and trade secret claims.

Danielle's background includes extensive trial experience defending negligence and breach of contract disputes throughout state courts and significant experience in alternative dispute resolution methods such as arbitration. Danielle has further experience in matters involving shareholder disputes, business torts, and product liability matters during all stages of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, and settlement negotiations.

Danielle is a member of the bar of the Illinois Supreme Court, the Northern District of Illinois, and the Federal Trial Bar. Danielle co-chairs the Chicago Bar Association's Young Lawyers Society Women in the Law, co-chairs the Chicago Chapter of the IFA's Women's Franchise Network and serves on the Alliance for Women Call to Action committee. In 2010, Danielle was named as an Illinois Rising Star by Super Lawyers®. She also serves as a coach for the Chicago-Kent Law School Trial Advocacy Team.

Danielle graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law where she was an editor of The Elder Law Journal and a moot court semi-finalist. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Illinois Wesleyan University.
