Lacey D. Cordero
Lacey is a corporate lawyer who concentrates her practice on commercial transactions, general corporate work, and franchise, licensing and distribution law. She has extensive experience representing clients in corporate deals, in mergers and acquisitions, and in connection with securities offerings, as well as counseling clients on corporate structure formation and governance, regulatory compliance, and general business matters.
Prior to joining Cheng Cohen LLC, Lacey was an associate in the Chicago Corporate and Securities Group of Mayer Brown LLP. Before attending law school, Lacey worked as an analyst at The Walgreen Company.
Lacey received her Juris Doctorate with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law and served on the Iowa Law Review. She graduated magna cum laude and received her business degree from Loyola University of Chicago, where she concentrated in information systems and operations management.
Lacey was a fellow at the Community Economic Development Law Project in Chicago and continues to provide pro bono assistance to community organizations of limited means. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
