Maureen E. Mulvihill
Maureen is a corporate lawyer who concentrates her practice on commercial transactions, general corporate work, and franchise, licensing and distribution law. Maureen also has experience representing clients in mergers and acquisitions, public securities transactions, corporate governance, private placements and general business matters.
Prior to joining Cheng Cohen LLC, Maureen was an associate at Mayer Brown LLP, where she concentrated on mergers and acquisitions, investment fund formations, securities offerings and general corporate matters. Her clients included private investment funds and both privately and publicly held companies. Before graduating from law school, Maureen externed for the Honorable Samuel Der-Yeghiayan, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and interned at the Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Enforcement in New York, New York.
Maureen graduated cum laude from Loyola University of Chicago College of Law where she was a member of the Loyola University of Chicago Law Journal and the Loyola University of Chicago Consumer Law Review. She received a Bachelors of Business Administration with distinction from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
