We are excited to announce that two lawyers from Cheng Cohen have been selected to present at the 2021 Virtual IFA Legal Symposium, which is scheduled from May 4-6, 2021.

Michael Daigle will be participating in the Basics Track session on Mergers and Acquisitions. The program will cover the basic tenets of franchise-related mergers and acquisitions from both the seller’s and buyer’s perspectives, including identifying red flags in the due diligence process, key negotiating points, and special considerations in the Covid-19 era. The session is scheduled for 3:15 pm (EST) on May 4, 2021.

Aaron-Michael Sapp will be moderating a session on System-Wide Diversity and Inclusion. The panel includes Melanie Bootes, Chief Legal Officer of KFC Corporation, Julie Davis, Global Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary of Taco Bell Corp., and Lauren Leahy, Chief Legal Officer of Pizza Hut U.S. This session will examine how franchisors are confronting structural discrimination within franchise systems and explore ways to create more diverse and inclusive systems. The session is scheduled for 2:00 pm (EST) on May 5, 2021.
