Tara and her husband rescued a hound mutt in June 2016 and named him Maddon – a few months later the Cubs won the World Series.

Tara played basketball and volleyball in high school.

Tara has seen Florence and the Machine in concert four times.

Tara’s first passport stamp was from Cuba.

Tara is the only lawyer on her side of the family – which includes 32 aunts/uncles and 30+ cousins.

Tara is a die-hard Bulls, Bears, and Cubs fan.

Tara enjoys cooking but burns everything she tries to bake.

Tara went to a Real Madrid game when she was in Spain by herself last year.

Tara loves to read and belongs to a monthly book club.

As an undergrad, Tara worked in a lab caring for transgenic tadpoles.

Tara is a commercial litigator who represents clients in courts and alternative dispute resolution forums across the country. She has handled a wide variety of complex matters, including corporate governance, unfair competition, breach of contract, and intellectual property claims. Tara manages cases from commencement of litigation through trial or hearing and has experience managing all phases of discovery and eDiscovery.

Prior to joining Cheng Cohen, Tara was an associate at an intellectual property boutique where she focused on patent and trademark infringement litigation. In law school, Tara earned an intellectual property certificate and studied business law abroad.
