We are delighted to announce that two lawyers from Cheng Cohen have been selected to present at the IFA’s first-ever Franchise Law Virtual Summit, which is scheduled for August 12-13, 2020. Amy Cheng and Sam Wieczorek will be presenting on the following topics:

• Amy will be presenting “Food for Thought: Managing the World of Third Party Delivery Services.” Along with her co-presenters, John Teza, Principal at NRD Capital and Dominic Mochrie, Partner at Osler, this timely presentation will discuss the legal and business issues surrounding the use of third-party delivery services, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The presentation is scheduled for 2:15 PM (EST) on Wednesday, August 12.
• Sam will be presenting “Drafting Trends – What’s New in Franchise Agreements?” Co-presenting with Sam will be Dawn Diaz, General Counsel of Sun Holdings. The discussion will be moderated by Tom Pitegoff, Principal at Offit Kurman. Sam and Dawn will be discussing recent developments in drafting franchise agreements, including topics such as drafting for private equity acquisitions, addressing potential data breaches, ownership of customer lists, and a host of other topics. This presentation is scheduled for 2:15 PM (EST) on Thursday, August 13.
