We are excited to announce that two lawyers from Cheng Cohen have been selected to present at the 2022 IFA Legal Symposium, which is scheduled for May 15-17, 2022 in Washington DC.

Allison Grow will be speaking during the Judicial Update general session, which covers key legal trends and important cases from the past year that are expected to impact the legal and business operations of the franchise industry.  Allison will cover cases related to relationship issues and claims, including cases arising out of terminations, non-competes, trademark and trade-secrets, lost future royalties, liquidated damages, and encroachment. The session is scheduled for 8:30 am (EST) on May 17, 2022.

Fredric Cohen will be participating in a break-out session discussion on enforcing system standards after Covid. This session discuss how enforcement actions have changed during the pandemic and how franchisors can navigate enforcing their new system standards in a post-Covid world, including what options are available if/when issues or concerns from franchisees arise. The session is scheduled for 3:30 pm (EST) on May 16, 2022 and 10:15 am (EST) on May 17, 2022.
