Cheng Cohen at the 2026 IFA Legal Symposium

We are excited to announce that Cheng Cohen attorneys will take part in the 2026 IFA Legal Symposium, which is scheduled for May 17-19, 2026 in Washington DC.

Vincent Frantz will be facilitating a roundtable discussion on protecting your IP portfolio during system growth.  The roundtable will cover strategies for protecting evolving brands and structuring IP portfolios to support flexibility and long-term growth. This discussion is scheduled for 12:00 pm (EST) on May 18, 2026.

Gina Malandrino will participate in a break-out session on legal strategies and considerations for non-traditional franchising.  This session will examine how franchisors and their counsel are structuring, documenting and governing complex non-traditional arrangements in terms of the Franchise Rule, state disclosures and relationship laws. Max DeLeon will participate in and moderate a break-out session on trade secret battles after franchise termination. This session will explore how trade secret claims can be leveraged against rogue operators and the considerations franchisors should be aware of in today's shifting legal landscape. The session is scheduled for 3:30 pm (EST) on May 18, 2026 and 10:15am (EST) on May 19, 2026.
