Charlie is a commercial litigator who represents clients in federal and state courts across the country and in arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association and JAMS. Charlie advises clients through all stages of litigation, including pre-litigation matters. He assists clients with handling a wide range of franchise disputes, including those relating to franchise law violations, breach of contract, unfair and deceptive trade practices, and intellectual property, as well as disputes with third parties.

Prior to joining Cheng Cohen, Charlie was an associate at a Chicago law firm where his practice was focused on commercial litigation.

Charlie is both fascinated and terrified by the vastness of the universe.Charlie’s life goal growing up was to be faster than a cheetah.Charlie is slowly but surely learning to play guitar. Just never ask him to sing.Most of Charlie’s musical interests stem from what his older sisters played for him when he was young.Charlie’s favorite team is the Detroit Lions (although he thinks it’s cool his father-in-law played on the ‘85 Bears).Charlie is always up to play any game or sport, but he is a horrible golfer.Charlie’s favorite pizza toppings are ham and pineapple.Charlie thinks the 2004 Detroit Pistons are the greatest sports team of all time.Charlie prefers being in or near water as often as possible.Charlie played on the scout team for the Michigan State Women’s Basketball program in college...which is how he met his wife.Charlie thinks there’s nothing better than live music on a cool summer night.Charlie will never forget his first California sunset.Charlie’s life goal is to make it to every tennis major championship. So far he has only been to the US Open.
