Sophie is a transactional attorney who assists franchisors and other businesses with a broad range of corporate matters, including corporate transactions, regulatory compliance, commercial contracts, and franchise law. She works with clients on day-to-day business and operational matters, taking a practical, business-focused approach to helping them navigate legal challenges and achieve their business objectives.

Prior to joining Cheng Cohen, Sophie worked as a Senior Analyst at FINRA, where she investigated complex regulatory matters involving market activity, potential securities law violations, and regulatory compliance. Her experience in financial regulation provides a strong foundation for advising clients on compliance and risk management. During law school, Sophie earned a Certificate in Transactional Law, served as a Senior Editor for both the Journal of Regulatory Compliance and the International Law Review, and represented entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses through the Loyola Business Law Clinic.
