Charles J. Hoover

Attorney

Did You Know?

Charlie’s life goal is to make it to every tennis major championship. So far he has only been to the US Open.

Even though he takes a lot of heat for this, Charlie’s favorite pizza toppings are ham and pineapple.

Charlie played on the scout team for the MSU Women’s Basketball team in college…which is how he met his wife.

Charlie’s favorite thing about living in Chicago is having all the seasons.

Most of Charlie’s musical interests stem from what his older sisters played for him when he was young.

Unfortunately for him, Charlie’s favorite team is the Detroit Lions (although his father-in-law played on the ‘85 Bears).

Charlie is always up to play any game or sport, but he is a horrible golfer.

Charlie drinks a ridiculous amount of water. He also prefers being in or near water as much as possible.

Charlie is a commercial litigator who represents clients in federal and state courts across the country and in arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association and JAMS. He assists clients with prosecuting franchisor-initiated claims and defending franchisee-initiated claims, including those relating to franchise law violations, breach of contract, unfair and deceptive trade practices, and intellectual property.

Prior to joining Cheng Cohen, Charlie was an associate at a Chicago law firm where his practice was focused on commercial litigation.
